Summary

This is a bird sanctuary with an educational facility that also serves as a bird rehabilitation center. The sanctuary is not far from residential area, however, is an important habitat for many species. Species such as Japanese Thrush, Brown Shrike and Tiger Shrike nest there.

In the water to the west of sanctuary, scan for Ancient Murrelet, Marbled Murrelet. Many species of ducks are expected in Saigawa River to the east.

Mid summer is slow. Good birding spot for the rest of the year.
