Note: I saw 3 birders setting up scopes on the access road to the Sanctuary, so I approached slowly and saw 2 rails walking on the road about 5 m from the birders. Then rails went into fight and both headed opposite way. This one walked across the road and into the tall grass.

Location: Port Bolivar, Texas

Note: I found a Clapper Rail with 3 chicks at a pond on Frenchtown Road. They were really cautious at the beggining, but after waiting for 30 min. or so they decided I have turned into a rock or something. :-)
First one chick came out of reed, then the mom and two other chicks followed her. This one chick can walk fast so it was right behind the mom. The chick even followed her into a pond and then realized it was way too deep and turned around.
